We've heard a lot lately from the left about gun control, mostly hot air about how banning weapons will drastically reduce violence. An exception would be the liberal loon (Hi Dan!) at the Roanoke Times. The Times editorialists don't seem to be so concerned with whether a gun ban would be effective or not, just that that would be the intent.
There is a real world experiment beginning right now that will clear this whole thing up. A total gun ban has been decreed by the new Mayor of Mogadishu (yes, THAT Mogadishu). Now all we have to do is sit back watch the violence dissipate like the smoke from the barrel of a Kalashnikov.
