Many of my blog friends have complained for some time now that this site opens very slow. That's appropriate I suppose, since I too am a very slow starter. I've taken those complaints to heart, though, and moved some things around. I've moved as many JavaScripts as possible to the end of the page and eliminated several altogether.The result should be a much faster load time.
I hope these changes work for you.
UPDATE:
Deal with it being slow again for a while. I completely blew my template up while working on it. I'm going to take a break and watch the race.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
